Delightful Designs

On Tuesday Apartment Therapy had a post about pink and orange kids' rooms. Right up my alley! Check out all the clever rooms. I'm loving the chevron carpet in this room:

Spring Ahead

With a move and a new job, blogging has moved to the bottom of my list. I plan to pop back from time to time, but posting will be significantly lighter for a little while.

I couldn't stay totally silent through fashion week, though! So, while I don't have time to comb through the images from all the runways, I did spot these pink and orange J. Crew pants:

Pink and Orange Challenge: Day 57

Hey there! I promise, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Lots has been going on lately, and blogging has become a pretty low priority. Case in point, here's a pink and orange outfit that I wore over a month ago, but never got around to posting:

This is with a Deborah Butterfield horse outside the Hunter Museum of Art in Chattanooga, TN. Jud and I took a fun day-trip to Chattanooga, where we went to antique stores, ate tacos, and checked out the Hunter.

We took a few quick day-trips this summer to places outside Atlanta, and I'm so glad we did...because we're moving! Right after Labor Day, we will be packing up and heading to Houston, where I got a new job. I can't wait to explore a new city and find new sources for fun pink and orange finds!

Runway Runaway

Do you remember the last was that I updated this blog? Nope? Me neither.

Anyways, just popping in to share this amazing dress (made from a parachute!) from last week's season premier of Project Runway.

Portrait of the Artist

As I've mentioned before, I work in an art museum. Today I was walking through the galleries when I spotted a painting that I haven't noticed before; it must have been hung recently. I love Alex Katz's paintings, particularly his portraits, and this one is especially appealing because it depicts a redhead wearing a pink blouse. Called Portrait of Sylvia Stone, this small piece is now one of my favorite works on view.

Beach Bound

This is the time of year when everyone seems to be headed to the beach. I don't have any sand and shores on the horizon, but if I did, I would pack up on these fresh finds.

Modcloth tote.

Saturday cosmetics case.

And Jonathan Adler notecards to send "wish you were here"s to all your buds.

Oh The In-Sanity

Jud and I ran into Jonathan Adler at lunchtime today and spotted a unique needlepoint accessory: a hand sanitizer cozy. For the germaphone that has everything :)

I've Got You Covered

Just spotted this new Jonathan Adler bedding online. I love the hip, hand-stitched patterns.

Pink and Orange Challenge: Day 56

Look at that, I managed to get a picture of my pink and orange top on Friday!

As I mentioned on Friday, the colors in the shirt didn't even register with me until I went to steam it the night before. I snagged it on sale at J. Crew. What's new?

Bonus! On Saturday Jud and a I swung by the outlet mall after some small town exploring. As soon as I walked into Kate Spade I spotted this dress:

I coveted the very similar retail version when it came out last year, but never managed to catch it on sale. I was SO excited to find a perfect summery dress in the exact same fantastic fabric for a fraction of the original price!

Top of the Morning

Happy Friday! When I was steaming my shirt to wear today, I realized that it was pink and orange! Somehow I managed to try it on and buy it from J. Crew without registering what color it was. I'll try to snap a photo, but in the meantime, check out the sweet sweater from Madewell.

A-dress The Issue

Summertime=light, breezy dresses. Like this pink and orange one from Madewell!

Straight from the Factory

The prices change daily, but if you keep an eye on J. Crew Factory, you can occasionally score some good deals. I've recently found some great pieces there, everything from basic tanks to cute skirts to skinny pants. Even a lot of their jewelry is cute and well made. Case in point:

Get You Kicks

Basic canvas sneakers seem to be making a comeback, and these are just my style. Kate Spade, spotted over at Piperlime.

Lobster Phone

I've been on the hunt for a new iPhone case, as I've ruined my 4th one. :/ I don't have the best track record. After a little looking today, I discovered that stores have pretty much stopped carrying cases for the iPhone 4, so I've had to move my search online.

While looking, I came across this cute Tory Burch lobster case. It's for the iPhone 5, otherwise I would have snapped it up!

Swim Sweet

I promise I'll write about something other than Saturday soon...but today they emailed a peek at this weekends new arrivals, and there are lots of sporty and sweet swimsuits! Just check them out already.

Cubic Cool

I love that there are fun new finds each week at Saturday. This past weekend, everything was covered in their bold and summery Cubic print. Here are a few of my faves.

Satchel, tote, dress, top, jeans.

Cold Shoulder

Even in May, I find myself wearing sweaters several days a week because 1. It's still cold outside and 2. It's even colder in my office! 3/4 sleeve sweaters are perfect for this time of year, like this fun one from Anthropologie.

Dressing Around

This tone-on-tone pink and orange dress from Anthropologie is really lovely, and would be totally versatile for spring and summer. Fingers-crossed that I'll spot it on sale!

Jewel Tones

This candy-colored necklace and earrings from Kate Spade would do just the trick to dress up a simple little dress for an evening out.

Handy Dandy

I've blogged about Jessica Jones' cute patterns before. Now you can get them printed on your iPhone cover!
