Lighten Up

My mom picked up some vintage Christmas lights at an antique store the other day. Why? Because they were pink and orange! The pink ones even have a pink Santa and pink and orange dots on the box.

Word gets around, so Santa now knows that I'm a fan of pink and orange. Here are some of the things he left under the tree and in my stocking this year.

Carry On

I've been meaning to post a photo of my laptop case for years (really), but because it spends a lot of time tucked away in my closet, I've just never gotten around to it. But, since I'm on the road, now seems like the perfect time!

I got it ages ago, before grad school, when I bought my first MacBook. Four and a half years later, the computer and the case are still going strong. The brand is Melissa Beth Designs, although they no longer carry this exact model.

Home for the Holidays

I'm in Texas for the holidays, so this week my posts are coming from the Lone Star State.

That cute little tree that I shared yesterday is a pink tinsel tree that my mom and I decorated with pink ornaments many years ago.

Today, I thought I'd share the awesome pink and orange quilt that she just completed for me. Amazing!

Last night Jud and I swung by the Indie Craft Experience Pop-Up Shop at Criminal Records. I was hoping to find a Christmas gift or two, but instead I just ended up with a few things for myself.

Tangerine Tango! I love it! How awesome that pink was last year and orange is this year :)

Deep V

I don't know about where you are, but the weather around here is ridiculous. Heavy coat one day, no need for a jacket the next day, possible snow storms looming for the weekend.

But, regardless of how extreme the temperatures are, I think this sweater dress from ASOS could totally work!

Deck the Halls

It is December 1, and I am super excited about these Kate Spade holiday cards. ADORABLE! And I love that they can be hung on the tree!

On an unrelated note, I snagged a pair of adorable black patent-leather flats in the recent sample sale. They arrived today (in a pink and orange box!), and they are beautiful. Keep an eye out for future sample sales!
