NY Fashion Week Spring 2013, Part 1

New York Fashion Week is over, London had a strong showing this weekend, and we still have Milan and Paris coming up! This might take a while, so let's get started.

There were SO MANY amazing looks this season that it seems unfair to just pull out the pink and orange ones. Particularly because I spotted so many beautiful pinks and oranges on their own. But to focus, I'll just be sticking with our favorite color combo!

Chado Ralph Rucci.

Timo Weiland.

Thom Browne.

Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Pink and Orange Challenge: Day 52

On Friday I wore my new shirt from J. Crew, gray jeans, and my favorite neon sandals. The top has been on sale for a while, but when it dropped to $35, I knew I had to have it. If anyone's interested, you can scoop it up for $35 with the promo code LOVEIT through Friday. It also comes in green and blue.

Winter Wonders

The weather this week has been absolute perfection. I forgot what my hair looks like when then humidity isn't 90%. It's amazing, and I think it's the signal that fall is on the way.

So, not to get ahead of myself, but I'm already pining for these winter accessories from Kate Spade.

Black leather gloves with color between the fingers. I've never seen this before. Totally genius!

Knit gloves with stripes and bows. Fabulous.

Does anyone really *need* a snood? I have no idea. But if you do, this looks like a good one!

(Helpful hint: Save 20% off your full price purchase at Kate Spade through September 20 with code AUGSALE. Or, save 20% off one full price item through October 3 with code GODOTTY. Just in case you know anyone with a birthday coming up...)

Can You Ear Me?

I don't wear a lot of jewelry–something confuses me about necklaces and bracelets usually come off about halfway through the day–but I always, always wear earrings. My ears didn't heal properly after I had them pierced in middle school, and once I learned that it was a reaction to the alloy used in most silvers, I wore the same two pairs of James Avery studs well into college.

Eventually, I discovered dangly earrings and spent years stocking up on fun, colorful earrings. Now that I wear glasses about half the time, I've returned to studs (I don't want too many flashy accessories on my face).

Anyways, all of that to say, just look at these two pairs of earrings.

Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.

Runway Ready

Spring 2013 Fashion Week is in full force in NYC right now and I'm happy to report the popularity of pink and orange shows no sign of fading! I've been scouring Style.com and will have a complete round-up next week. In the meantime, get excited for Kate Spade's Resort 2013 line-up with this amazing look. Oh, I'm definitely going to need that coat.

Shower Power

This pink and orange shower curtain and these bath mats would make adorable additions to a little girl's bathroom!
